Adam's Letter to Oprah

Dear Oprah:

A few months ago you brought author James Frey back onto your show to retract your support of his book because he made a lot of his stories up. A few years ago, you had a similar guest who had also made stories up/altered events to create entertainment value for his audience. That guest’s name: Michael Moore.

I have created a counter documentary film to expose the problems in Michael Moore's two most recent documentaries, "Fahrenheit 9/11" and "Bowling for Columbine." In it, the distortions and misrepresentations that are presented in Mr. Moore's films are explored. Although the films were released over 2 years ago, I feel the record about the content in these films should be set straight.

This documentary, titled "6 Degrees from Truth: Michael Moore" will be released in August 2006. It has a running time of 67 minutes and the special edition DVD release will contain 3+ hours of bonus material. The documentary will also be released on the Internet for free.

Because you were upset with an author misrepresenting himself and the people he had in his book, why not retract support from a filmmaker who misrepresented himself and the people he had in his movie?
