It's been two and a half years since the last update but the 6 Degrees from Truth series is about to get another addition! Stay tuned for more news.

Sunday, September 9, 2007:

A new Michael Moore film has come to my attention called "Manufacturing Dissent." It's a film that follows Michael Moore's 2004 book tour and examines his films (much like 6 Degrees from Truth does). Check them out at www.manufacturingdissentmovie.com

On another note, I would like to say that it's been over a year since I published "6DFT: Michael Moore" online and I have yet to hear from Michael Moore's lawyers. So, using the logic of Moore supporters I guess that means my documentary is accurate after all! Because I would have been sued by now for slander had I not got my facts straight....right? RIGHT!?

Just kidding...I know Moore could probably give two frames of film about me but I am just pointing out the craziness of some of the arguments I've heard.

Wait...just after I posted this I found out Moore released another film this year. Captain Mike Across America. What...the...f*ck? I thought this was an April Fool's joke at first but then I checked my calendar and it's September. Oh man, this is sad!

Saturday, June 16, 2007:

Michael Moore's new film is coming out shortly and I just want to encourage everyone to raise awareness of my film. I may be burning some copies of the DVD and handing them out at theatres running his film. I haven't decided yet if it will be worth my time because judging from the response I've received some people just don't want to hear the truth.

I received a YouTube message a few days ago and would like to address it. It knocks on a lot of points I didn't make clear and also takes legitimate knocks at the film. Read it and my response here.

Tuesday, June 5, 2007:

I haven't been around here much because I'm working on my life/career. So to all those who said to "get a life", I listened. *wink*

I figure I'll address Moore's new film Sicko and recent events about him in the media.

First, I haven't seen the film and I wish him luck. I hope his new film uses the truth about healthcare and puts a new spin on it...a spin entirely based on fact. That's all I as a fellow filmmaker want from Michael Moore...the truth. Hopefull him and his team pulled it off this time.

Second, I'm a reader of MooreWatch.com and think that the publicity stunt he pulled on JimK was real lame. While it was very generous of him to help out JimK's wife, (if you don't know the story, basically Moore sent $10,000 to help pay for medical expenses) it truly would have been charitable if he didn't include it in his film. Because his actions were put in a film about healthcare, it was not entirely done out of the kindness of his heart. It was done for a movie stunt.

JimK was right in accepting the money though. He had no idea who it was from. He thought it could be from Moore but had no proof at the time. $10,000 is nothing to sneeze at. It's just sick (no pun intended) Moore used him as a pawn.

I'm working on creating some podcasts to address all the comments I've received on YouTube and Google Video. Expect that within a week or so.

On another note, check out Indoctrinate U, a new documentary by Evan Maloney. I've been waiting for this to come out for a while and highly recommend you all check it out. If the preview was any indication, this is going to be a great film that probably won't be seen on a lot of campuses ;-)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I figured I'd post something here since there hasn't been much news in a while. The comments continue to roll in about 6DFT: Michael Moore on YouTube, Google Video and via email. That's great! I appreciate all feedback...positive or negative. If you're wondering why there hasn't been anything put on here in months...allow me to elaborate:

- I've been dealing with a lot of personal issues for the past few months. Career...health...relationships. but mostly career. That takes time and what time I have to spend I spend it there.

- The movie has been released. There isn't much more information to be said than that.

- When anything new about the Michael Moore documentary or future projects is announced...you'll hear it here first.

To keep you tide over until the next update, if you're a fan of American Idol, then read this.

In the interview, more Michael Moore lies are exposed, and questions that many people ask about the Iraq war are answered. You can read more about Ryan at www.WorldThreats.com

Wednesday, December 20, 2006:

For some reason I've been on a Second Amendment kick for the past days. Something reminded me of an incident that happened to me back in high school and now I'm looking at handgun laws in Maryland (my home state). These laws are quite ridiculous and whomever passed them should be in jail. Why? Because they violated a federal law...the Second Amendment.

So, what happened to me in high school that makes me so heated while I write this? My life and my friend's life were threatened by a group of thugs as we were walking to my friend's house. The police were nowhere in sight. The thugs were carrying a weapon ( a knife was pulled if my memory serves me correctly). For the first (and unfortunately, not the last) time in my life, I felt like I might die from the act of another person(s). Again, where were the police?

My point is, under Maryland law policemen are allowed to carry weapons ALL THE TIME. Maryland citizens have to jump through hoops to legally carry. Because you cannot rely on the police for protection (they're more of a clean up crew than anything), it should not be so difficult to defend yourself from criminals. Licensed security businesses are allowed to purchase all the firearms they want. In Maryland, you can only purchase one handgun every 30 days. Oh, and you have to be over 21 to own one. They'll send 18 year olds over to Iraq with an M-16 to defend our country, but if our troops want to defend  themselves when they're home, they're out of luck.

More recently, a friend of mine was attacked...yet again by a large group of thugs. What was he doing? Walking home with his buddy. His cell phone was destroyed (the criminals would have stolen it but they didn't because according to them, "It sucks"), and they took all his money (two measly dollars.) In both incidents, we have been lucky.

Now, luck isn't always on people's side. In Suzanna Gratia Hupp's case, it wasn't. Her parents were killed right in front of her during the Luby's Massacre. She could have prevented further violence...if only laws didn't prevent her from legally carrying a gun inside the restaurant she was in. Those laws sure didn't stop George Hennard from killing 23 people that day, but they did stop Ms. Hupp from protecting her family. A sad story indeed, and one that shows why gun control simply does not work.

Wednesday, December 6, 2006:

Although this is not Michael Moore-related, it is related to deception in media. A man was a guest on a radio show that played a pre-recorded interview. They chopped his interview up to make him appear misogynistic and they personally attacked him...without allowing him to respond. This is what's known as an "ambush interview." And this type of stuff happens ALL the time with TV and radio...and we the audience don't even know it.

Monday, September 18, 2006:

A word from Adam:

The response about the documentary has been...interesting...to say the least. I've been receiving mixed feedback via email and via comments on the websites hosting the documentary. Regardless of whether it's positive or negative...I appreciate it. I just ask that anything emailed to me via the comments be constructive criticism. Telling me that the video "sucked" or was "filled with BS" doesn't say much. Tell me why it sucks. Tell me what I lied about. Messages like these are equivalent to me making a video with a bunch of people saying "Michael Moore is a liar" but not backing it up with any evidence. And if you liked it...what did you like about it?

For those of you who have sent me constructive criticism and questions about material in the documentary...I thank you. After I release the line-by-line back up/citation list...I will be posting an FAQ of sorts. Expect the FAQ to be launched sometime at the end of the month or early October.

While I'm posting, I think you all should check out this article. It deals with political correctness, stereotypes, and truth in media. It's a great read.
